The 2022 page was brief. Under the heading “Laurel County Historical Society,” it invited visitors to make contact with questions or comments. The page presented a send control and an email destination, with no further explanatory copy.

That historical email address and form function are not active here. The same organization continues to operate on a successor site, and this independent reference must not receive or redirect inquiries that could be mistaken for official Society correspondence. There is no message field, email link, telephone number, street address, appointment request, or submission endpoint here.

What the site navigation connected

Although the body was thin, the contact page carried the same large menu as the late site. It linked home and about pages; a sequence of 2021 and 2022 blog articles; hours and location; cemetery pages for the Freeman family, Lincks Cemetery, Levi Jackson, and John Freeman; publications; resources; photograph pages; the Branches of Laurel newsletter; a family-identification page; and volunteer opportunities.

Those menu labels document how the late site grouped its content. The contact.html filename distinguishes this late-era page from the Society’s earlier contact page, but it provides no contact functionality now.

The contrast with the older contactus.html page also records a site migration. The older form asked for several personal details; the later page reduced the body to a short invitation and a send control. The two pages had distinct URLs and different body text, and neither now offers a submission surface.
